Shipping, Import Duties & Taxes

Short version: we ship worldwide from Tokyo by FedEx International Priority. Prices on this site are in Japanese yen (JPY) and do not include import duties, VAT/GST or customs brokerage fees in your country. These are charged by the carrier or your customs authority on delivery and are paid by the buyer (Incoterms 2020: DAP).

Shipping

  • Ships from: Tokyo, Japan (Asunite Technology Co., Ltd.)
  • Carrier: FedEx International Priority, with tracking and English documents
  • Shipping cost: calculated at checkout from the destination and package weight
  • Handling time: in-stock items ship within 1–3 business days after payment is confirmed; back-order items ship within the lead time stated on the product page
  • Transit: usually 2–5 business days after shipment to most of Asia, North America, Europe and Oceania

Import duties and taxes

  • Duties and taxes depend on your country, the product's tariff classification (HS code) and its value. We cannot waive or pre-pay them.
  • We declare every shipment accurately on the commercial invoice (description, value, HS code, country of origin: Japan).
  • Many IT and industrial products (UPS units, storage, network and I/O equipment) carry low or zero base duty in most countries, but VAT/GST and, in some countries, additional tariffs still apply.
  • United States: low-value (de minimis) duty-free entry is currently not available, and additional tariffs on Japanese-origin goods may apply. Rates change often, so please check with your customs broker or ask us before ordering.
  • EU / UK: import VAT at your country's rate is charged on delivery, plus any duty and a carrier handling fee.
  • Not sure what you will pay? Contact us with your country and the product, and we will send the HS code we will use so you can check the rate before you order.

Business buyers

For repeat business orders we can offer invoices with monthly payment terms (subject to approval) and quote shipping in advance. Ask for a business quote.

Refused shipments

If a parcel is refused because of duties or taxes, the outbound and return shipping costs and any charges billed to us by the carrier are deducted from the refund. See our refund policy and shipping policy.
